Badin Music Notes

July 4 Parade Info
Wow! July will be here before we know it! Don't forget about the Independence Day Parade on July 4. I currently have conflicting information about the start time (10:00 am or 2:00 PM), so hopefully there will be more precise info waiting for me when I return next weekend.

There will be a rehearsal on Saturday, June 27 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Music Room to prepare for the parade. If you plan to participate but CANNOT attend the rehearsal, please email me at:

mmoore1@vandercook.edu

Also, remember that alumni are invited to participate as well!
DVD and CD Update
The audio recording from Chicago arrived just as I was leaving last week. I am in the process of burning them now for those who ordered them. If you already received your DVD, look for the CD in a separate mailing. If you have not yet received either, you will receive BOTH in one package next week.

I apologize for the delays.

Have A Great Summer!
Have a great summer everyone, and stay safe!

Don't forget Marching Band rehearsal on Saturday, June 27 from 1:00 to 3:00 to prepare for the July 4 Parade. I will also have lots of information about August events (fundraisers, Yard Sale, Band Camp, photos, etc) at the parade.

Remember: I will be out of town from June 14 until August. if you need anything, email me at my Badin address: mmoore@mail.badinhs.org
DVD Info
There were delays in the production of the end-of-year DVD. First, I had a bad batch of blank DVD's. Now that I have some good ones, I will distribute or mail these on Monday afternoon.

The second problem is that the audio recordings from Chicago have not arrived yet. As soon as they arrive, I will distribute / mail the requested copies of these to those who placed orders.
Booster Meeting / Accounting
The first Booster meeting for the 2009-10 season will take place on Wednesday, June 10 at 7:00 in the Music Room. There will be no July meeting.

Also, in my end-of-year accounting I have discovered that a handful of families have overpaid for the Chicago trip. Reimbursements will be sent for these over-payments, and they should be mailed from Badin next week.

Music Update 12/19/08

Badin Music Notes

December 19, 2008Keeping Badin's Music Families In Tune!
Merry Christmas!!!
I apologize for the lack of updates lately.

The turnout for both of the Christmas concerts was wonderful! Everyone seemed to have a great time, and the groups performed well. Thanks everyone for making these events go so well!
Luke 2: 8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." 15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." 16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Thanks, Everyone
Special thanks for all of the gifts and cards. Janie and I appreciate all of you very much!

Oh, and I am feeling fine now!
